Mild steel plating quality wires

Barnfather Wire supplies mild steel plating quality wires to a vast range of industries including the automotive, point of sale display, construction and general industry to name a few.

Available in a range of gauges from 2mm to 14mm dia, this versatile material can be supplied:

• In coils
• On formers up to 1.5 tonnes
• Straightened and cut to length to your requirements (3mm to 14mm dia)
• Traverse wound coils up to 1.5 tonnes in weight
• Produced from high quality steels ideal for CNC forming and chrome plating

Engineering quality steel wires in stock lengths

Our engineering quality steel wire is held in a broad range of stock lengths and supplied, in the main, to steel stockholders for distribution into many areas of industrial engineering.

We offer a wide range of engineering qualitiy steels in stock lengths or cut to specific requirements, in diameters from 3mm to 14mm.

Black annealed baling wire

Wherever materials need to be baled for easy handling and transport our range of black annealed wire products are ideal. Our black annealed wire is used in a number of industries, including:

• Recycling industry
• Packaging industry
• Construction industry
• Galvanising trade

Barnfather Wire can manufacture black annealed wire to a broad range of specifications. Using the latest temperature controlled furnaces we are able to produce a consistent and uniform wire ideal for any baling application.

• 2mm TO 3.80mm
• Cut and looped configuration for hand tying / semi-automatic baling
• Rewound coils or in bulk on formers for automatic balers.

Cold heading quality wires

Our cold heading quality wire is supplied into the automotive and fastener trades to customers’ requirements. Specifications include:

• Sizes from 2mm – 13mm dia coil on formers
• Wires produced to BS EN 10263 :2001 (formerly BS 3111)

Galvanised wire

We supply commercially galvanised mild steel wire in coils or cut to length for use in a range of applications such as temporary fencing, paint rollers, bucket handles etc...

• Diameters from 2mm to 12mm in traverse wound coils of 500kg, 1000kgs, and 2000kgs

We can supply wire products in a format that’s specific to your individual needs or to unique specifications for one-off projects.
